Who we are
Latin Muslim Association is a registered charity in England and Wales (number 1141111). We are responsible for the personal information described here. Contact us at info@latinmuslimassociation.org.uk.
What we collect and why
If you email us: your name, email address and what you write. We use it to reply and to deal with your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us.
If you donate by bank transfer: the name and reference that your bank sends with the payment. We use it to record the gift in our accounts, which charities must keep, and to thank you if we can. Our lawful basis is our legal obligation to keep financial records.
If you accept cookies: Google Analytics records how the site is used (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and a random identifier), and Google AdSense may use cookies to show and measure ads. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page.
Every visit: to display the site, your browser contacts our web host and Google Fonts, which receive your IP address in the normal way. We do not use this to identify you.
Who we share it with
We do not sell personal information. Google (for Analytics, AdSense and Fonts) and our web host process data as described above. Google may process data in the United States under the UK’s data adequacy arrangements. Links to Facebook and Instagram take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
How long we keep it
Emails are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up. Donation records are kept for six years, as charity accounting rules require. Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent. Email info@latinmuslimassociation.org.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
